Dry Creeks Mens club 2015 opener

Played my first round of golf in 6 months, and it was Bad 95. The upside was that my partner Don Dodds put together a great round shooting 82 which put us in the money. Next tournament is presidents day, I will be hitting some range balls between now and then.  I don't want a repeat performance of this round.

Close Fall

Last night had to take the dog to the vet, about 12:35 am my son was still awake with no signs of sleeping, tripped and fell on top of my little dog Rambo.  My wife and I feared the worst as I picked him up and he was not moving, stiff and this tongue was hanging out the side of his mouth, and was barely breathing. I rushed him down to the 24 hour vet hospital, were they did x-rays and ultrasound to look for internal injuries. It was a 30 lbs. boy falling on a 6 lbs. dog. Luckily no broken bones or ruptured organs, but had shallow breathing, the vet wanted to kept him overnight for observations. I got a call from the vet at 5:55 am and she said "Rambo was doing fine breathing was better, come and pick him up about 8:00 am". So a very close call, from a baby's fall but Rambo is now resting comfortably and back home. We feel very lucky to have him with us.

First Day on the Water 2015

Went out, the first Saturday morning of 2015, with Addison Williams,  my mom and my son. We hit up Comanche because the Delta is still stained. Bite was slow and on the bottom, a few bites on a jig but no hookups. We were able to get a few fish on drop shot and Carolina rig, with finesse worms. Fish came in 25'-40' deep and they wanted it slow. My son gave each fish a hug and kiss as we let them go.

Lake Camanche pre-fish and tournament results for Nov-Dec 13 IFmas 2014

This December my brother and I decided to fish our first bass tournament together. Together we put two days of pre-fish together over a three-week leading up to the event.  During pre-fish we were fishing sharp drop off on main body points. Addison was throwing jigs mostly while I was throwing a spybait so we were targeting fish in two different depths within the water column. Or first perfish day was November 30th we took my son with us, got five fish, four on the jig and one on the spybait. The second day of pre-fish was December 7th were we caught 8 fish most coming on the spybait. I also has my first double (two fish on one bait) ever that day. Then there was the day of the tournament December 13th we both stuck to our original game plan targeting bottom feeding bass and suspended bass.  We boated 12 fish with our best five weighing 9 pounds and 2 ounce. Which was good enough for a tie for second place.

One poor or stupid person decide to drive there car out as far as they could and needless to say this happened.

Bass Fishing Hogan 11/9/14

My brother and I went fishing Hogan today, this was my first tip up to Hogan. But with only a $4 launch fee, I will be coming up more often. Water temp was 62* and stained two-three feet visibility. Had the lake to our self, three other boaters, and two kayakers. We pulled up and with in the first three cast we had our first bite a nice 5lbs bass, and we followed it up with 4 more keepers, we moved along the bank, throwing jigs, gitzits and spybait. We caught 17 fish 2 stripers and 3 small mouth. But one bass that looked a little hybrid like* (Small mouth & Spotted bass).

Stealthy Livetarget Hollow Body Frog Fishing on a Stand Up Paddle Board ...

If I loose a few pounds this could be my next adventure but have to say there is some great footage of bass blowing up on a frog.
