Bait Tinkering

This year I have put some money into bait medication, customization and genial tinkering.
From custom painting, to contacting other bait makers to have them make up custom baits, to adding to a techniques and maybe even creating a entirely different rig (set up).  I will be putting these bait to the test over the next few months. Hoping that they will produce some big fish, tournament wins. Sorry no photos yet until I can prove their worth or failure.

Lake Pardee Fishing Report 4900 Stony Creek Rd, Ione, CA 95640

With Memorial day weekend coming up you all may want to fish a lake
with less boat traffic Lake Pardee may be the place you are looking
for they don't allow water-skiers, wakeboarders or Jet ski... Just
fishing boats. but they will inspect before launch so make sure the
kayak are dry.

I have put two days on lake Pardee the over the last two weeks. Water
temp in marina is 63*am 65* pm main body is 58* and upriver was 62*.
Water clarity was 9 feet over the whole lake. The first trip 5/14/2017
all bass largemouth and smallmouth came on dropshot in 18'-24' had 9
total bass and four trout also on dropshot. This past Saturday
5/2/2017 was able to catch one trout, three largemouth and 12
smallmouth but Six of those smallmouth were locked onto beds. Bed fish
came on dropshot and small 4"  juvenile trout swim baits. The none bed
fish came in 12'-18' of water mostly on the fall so a Darter head may
also work. Dropshot worm color that use was Morning dawn.
Look for hard rock bottom for bedding small mouth, long point with
deep water near or underwater island tops.  Good luck and be safe.
